Agay seen through the pine trees
Roger Broders frames Agay’s bay with tall pine trunks. In the foreground, a woman seen from behind wears a dark swimsuit and red cap, holding an orange patterned cloth. Smaller bathers and striped parasols punctuate the pale beach below.
Blue dominates the water and the shadows in the foliage. Pink and orange trunks lead the eye towards the bay, with the Dramont headland closing the distant view. The mauve foreground carries the large yellow letters of AGAY.
A railway invitation to the French Riviera
Broders’s signature appears near the bottom, with the PLM emblem at the upper right. The 1928 design advertises Agay as a winter and summer beach. Broad areas of colour and a clear composition turn the seaside scene into an inviting travel image.
In a living room, entrance or study, pair this reproduction with pale wood, cream textiles or touches of blue. A small orange or red accent can echo the foreground. Leave space around the image, and check the dimensions and options listed on this page before planning your display.
