Vintage Cinque Terre Poster

Vintage Cinque Terre poster: an Italian village overlooking the sea

Yellow, red and orange houses cluster above a small turquoise cove. This vintage-style Cinque Terre poster offers a graphic interpretation of the Italian coast, with tiled roofs, a bell tower and boats. Bold colors and deep shadows give the landscape a strong presence, even from a distance.

A composition of colorful facades and turquoise water

The buildings descend toward the sea in several layers. On the right, the bell tower and trees stand against the clear sky; below, rocks mark the edge of the village. Small boats scattered across the cove extend the perspective, while a larger vessel appears offshore.

Dark plant silhouettes frame the view in the foreground. Their contrast with the sunlit facades adds depth. In the background, bluish hills and cream-colored clouds introduce a different scale. The drawing simplifies shapes into areas of color, distinguishing this illustration from a photograph.

The visual language of the travel poster

The pale border and the words “Cinque Terre” in large red letters recall the layout of tourism posters. The word “Italie” completes the image without competing with the village. Here, vintage refers to the illustration's retro aesthetic.

To create an Italian-themed display, pair this coastal view with our vintage Florence poster or our vintage Venice poster. These two other posters from the same collection let you vary the destinations while maintaining an Italian theme. Find them in our vintage Italy posters collection.

How to style this poster in your home

The turquoise can echo blue textiles, while the warm facades work well with wood or terracotta accessories. On a pale wall, the dark foreground gives the landscape a clear outline. The vertical format suits an entryway, office or narrow section of wall. Before selecting a size from the available options, allow enough viewing distance to appreciate the whole village and keep the destination's name clearly visible.
