Let yourself be carried away into the golden age of sea crossings with this vintage advertising poster announcing the Southampton – Cherbourg – New York route via the American Line.
An iconic poster from the late 19th century or the very beginning of the 20th, it features a majestic transatlantic liner cutting through a green sea under a cottony blue sky. The ship, with smoking funnels and an elegant black hull, symbolizes power, modernity, and the American dream. The mention "Calling at Cherbourg" highlights the importance of the Norman port in major ocean routes.
