Vintage awareness poster 'That's Phyllis... that was!'

This vintage awareness poster is a unique piece for any retro and historical themed wall decoration. It features a stylized and humorous drawing of four soldiers in uniform, seemingly watching the surroundings while being attracted to elegant female legs in high heels that appear on the sides of the illustration. The main text, in large, colorful letters, states: “That's Phyllis... that was!” followed by a warning written in red: “WATCH YOUR STEP You can avoid V.D.” The poster appears to have been designed to raise awareness about the prevention of venereal diseases (V.D. likely meaning “venereal disease”), with a light and caricatured tone typical of wartime or post-war years. This decorative poster can thus add an original and historical touch to your interior, perfect for enthusiasts of visual memories related to public health or old military communication. With its subdued colors and hand-drawn style, this wall art reflects an era when awareness was conveyed through striking and simple images. Ideal for decorating a wall in an office, a recreation room, or a themed space, this decorative support sparks curiosity and invites reflection on the history of prevention campaigns. Its graphic simplicity and natural colors easily harmonize with various interior decoration styles, from vintage to contemporary. This poster is also a relevant choice for those interested in visual history and social communication, bringing a touch of humor and a historical reminder embedded in modern wall decor.
