Die Weihnachtsnummer der “Eleganten Welt” ist erschienen is a poster by Hans Rudi Erdt, dated 1912–1913. Its German wording announces that the Christmas issue of the magazine Elegante Welt has been published. The signature “HR ERDT” appears at lower right, while the printer’s line, Hollerbaum & Schmidt, Berlin N 65, is visible at lower left.
The composition contains no portrait: it is constructed entirely from lettering and coloured shapes. The initials “E” and “W” sit inside two large black medallions edged in red and blue. A diagonal red banner carries the words “ist erschienen,” meaning “has been published.” Title, monogram and announcement overlap within a restricted cream, black, red and blue palette. The consulted source does not specify the original printing technique or dimensions.
