Angelica Kauffmann signed and dated this portrait in Rome in 1805. The Dorotheum sale record identifies the sitter as Princess Franziska von Kaunitz-Rietberg, née Ungnad, Countess of Weissenwolff (1773–1859), and records an oil on canvas measuring 76.8 × 65 cm.
