Mauro Antonio Tesi, master of capriccio and veduta
Mauro Antonio Tesi, active in the 18th century, is recognized for his keen sense of architecture in painting and his taste for capriccio, these compositions blending real monuments and imaginary inventions. Influenced by the Venetian tradition and the dissemination of Palladian models, Tesi knew how to magnify perspectives and classical motifs in scenes imbued with melancholy and order. Among his works, representations of villas and ruins testify to a precise hand and a harmonious palette. This art print pays homage to his work by restoring the finesse of the original traits and the poetic staging.
