Style and uniqueness of the work
The style of the Master of Saint Gilles is characterized by finesse of execution and a richness of detail that testify to exceptional craftsmanship. Each character is carefully crafted, from facial expressions to the drapery of clothing, creating an atmosphere that is both realistic and symbolic. The chosen color palette, oscillating between deep and luminous hues, contributes to the dramatization of the scene. The light, subtly manipulated, highlights the central figures while gently shading the background, thus emphasizing the importance of the depicted moment.
