Daziaro editions and views of Russia
J. Daziaro refers to the publishing house founded by Giuseppe Daziaro, an Italian-born print merchant and publisher established in Moscow in the nineteenth century. The imprint does not mean that Daziaro drew or lithographed every image.
A collaborative production
Prints issued by Daziaro could involve separate draughtsmen, lithographers and printers. The firm notably worked with the Lemercier printing house in Paris and distributed views of Moscow, Saint Petersburg and their monuments.
